Poland received a $3 billion loan from the United States for the purchase of military equipment

Poland and the United States signed an agreement to provide a direct loan to Warsaw within the framework of the Foreign Military Financing program in the amount of $3.08 billion

The borrowed funds will go towards the purchase of AH-64 Apache attack helicopters, reports Ukrinform with reference to the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Poland.

«This is already the third loan granted by the American government to Poland. The preliminary agreement was signed on July 1 of this year. In total, the U.S. government provided direct loans to Poland for $7.08 billion. was the biggest beneficiary of this mechanism, which is offered to close partners of the USA.

As it is emphasized, "an important aspect of their provision is also cooperation in supporting Ukraine".

The Ministry of Defense of Poland informed that received loans will be spent on the purchase of AH-64 Apache attack helicopters in the United States. The agreement was signed on August 13.
