Poland does not plan to directly participate in the war on Ukrainian territory

Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that Poland does not plan to directly participate in the war on the territory of Ukraine.

At a press conference in Gliwice, Tusk was asked about the negotiations between the foreign ministers of NATO member countries about the possible creation of an Alliance mission in Ukraine.

«I will not comment on this until I have full information about the content of these negotiations and their results. For now, I can repeat what I said to President Macron, as well as other leaders, President Biden: Poland does not envisage any direct participation in the war on Ukrainian soil,” – Tusk said.

The publication recalls that a two-day meeting of NATO foreign ministers is taking place on April 3. It is timed to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the signing of the Washington Treaty.

Poland is represented by Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, who announced that the topic of the meeting “will, of course, be the neo-imperial Russian invasion of Ukraine, assistance to Ukraine from member states, and also the possibility of deciding on the creation of a NATO mission – not military, but in support of Ukraine.” .

We recall that earlier Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that citizens of the European Union need to get used to the idea of ​​war, since a military conflict with Russia is not excluded in the near future.
