Pluto, Black Clover, Onmyoji: Netflix unveils an overview of the next anime expected on the platform

Last month, we revealed to you; that it will soon be possible to have more details regarding the sequel to Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia, Spy x Family > and many other animes highly anticipated by fans, at; the occasion of AnimeJapan 2023. An event that began today, and which also allowed us to learn more about the next titles planned for this year by Netflix.

Earlier in the week, Netflix subscribers and anime fans discovered the release date of the sequel to Kengan Ashura, having then been announced for September this year. But thanks to the AnimeJapan 2023 event, a show entirely dedicated to to the japanimation which takes place this weekend and which brings together many major players in the industry, fans can have an overview of future projects that can be found in the giant's catalog streaming.
A first glimpse which was notably made possible thanks to; a first short video, which teases what we have prepared; Netflix for AnimeJapan 2023. The opportunity to find some of the platform's flagship titles, while discovering the next anime highly anticipated by fans of the genre.
Among the titles most highlighted by Netflix, we find in particular Pluto, which is none other than the adaptation of the eponymous manga by Naoki Urasawa, or Onmyoji, who had already been announced last year at the occasion of Tudum Japan. But AnimeJapan 2023 also announced other new things planned for this year, at like the adaptation of Ōoku (or Le Pavillon des hommes in VF), from the eponymous manga by Fumi Yoshinaga and produced by Studio Deen ( Fate/stay night, Giant Killing, Maniac by Junji Ito).
The other announcement is for the anime Yakitori: Soldiers of Misfortune. Announced; for May 2023, the anime is adapted; from the work Yakitori by Carlo Zen, best known for Yōjo Senki: Saga of Tanya the Evil. It is produced by the ARECT studio, àgrave; which we owe in particular the animated spin-off Bright: Samurai Soul released in 2021.
In a statement; release, Yuji Yamano, director of content at Netflix, said; this during the event:
Over the years we have learned that fans appreciate the breadth of our range. From titles like Pluto and Ōoku, directed by top storytellers, to fan favorites like Onmyoji, Yakitori and more. This year there will be something for all anime fans. We are very touched by the worldwide interest in anime, which continues to grow, with over 100 million members watching anime every year.

The short Netflix video also allows us to get a glimpse of the other titles that will be joining the platform this year, at: like the movie Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King but also the sequel to the feature film The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh. And other sequels are also expected on Netflix this year, with for example season 2 of Bastard!! and Kengan Ashura, but it will be above all an opportunity to discover other new features, such as Gamera -Rebirth-, My Happy Marriage or Akuma Kun.
