PlayStation Store has dramatically raised prices for PlayStation 4 games

On September 27, the Sony PlayStation Store branded service sharply increased prices for popular titles for the PlayStation 4 console. From now on, users of the current version of the game console from the Japanese company will have to pay much more for the opportunity to play.

Industry experts consider such a decision rather strange, especially since in Western countries games for the current generation of the Sony console have not risen in price. Most likely, such changes are caused by the usual price tag adjustments to the current ruble exchange rate. So, most of the major publishers have revised the price tags for their releases upward and now a huge list of AAA titles is available to Russian users at a price of 4,999 rubles. At the same time, individual games with such an impressive price tag have already turned several years old. The largest jump in prices was noted for the game Madden NFL 21, the purchase of which will now cost 6,069 rubles. Desperados III (5,719 rubles) and Jump Force (5,359 rubles) also went up quite impressively.

However, experts do not exclude that in the foreseeable future the Russian division of the PlayStation Store will adjust prices downward, as it happened in the past.

Meanwhile, next week, the Russian division of Xbox is preparing a real “bomb” for fans. The senior manager of the company, Alexander Startsev, said that the developer had prepared explosive news, but with what exactly it was connected, the elders did not specify.
