Pinot won the stage and the Colombian takes command in the general classification. 

The Frenchman Thibaut Pinot (Groupama-FDJ) won this Saturday the seventh and penultimate stage of the Tour of Switzerland, 195 km in the mountains, between Ambri and Malbun (Liechtenstein), while the Colombian Sergio Higuita (Bora) took the lead in the race.

Always in the lead before the ascent of Malbun, a special category pass (12.4 km at 8.4% on average), the group progressively fell apart, leaving only two men ahead at first, the Kazakh Alexey Lutsenko (Astana ) and the Spanish Ion Izaguirre (Cofidis), pursued by Thibaut Pinot.
