Photographer Kostyantyn Liberov received a prestigious award for military correspondents

Ukrainian photographer Kostyantyn Liberov became the laureate of the annual Bayeux Calvados-Normandy Award, which honors the work of military correspondents. The award ceremony traditionally took place in the city of Bayeux, France on October 11-12.

This is stated in a message on the award website.

Kostyantin Liberov won in the “Photo” category for open vote of the audience with a series of photos “War in Ukraine. Pain, despair and hope”, and also took second place in the same category as chosen by the jury.

The Bayeux Calvados-Normandy Award was launched in 1994 in the French city Bayeux in honor of the 50th anniversary of the landing of Allied troops in Normandy during the Second World War.

During its existence, it was received by representatives of the world's leading media: Associated Press, Reuters, BBC, CNN, Le Monde and others. This year, correspondents with photographs from Gaza were also laureates of the award.
