The personnel crisis affected almost all sectors of the Ukrainian labor market. The number of vacancies is growing, and there is a shortage of specialists in industry, construction, the transport sector, and medicine.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, there has been a shortage of personnel, among the reasons – migration of citizens, mobilization to the ranks of the Defense Forces. There is a significant shortage of qualified specialists and representatives of working professions on the labor market.

Today, according to the types of economic activity, there is a shortage of specialists in the processing industry, in temporary accommodation and catering, construction and health care.

The deficit also affected almost all sectors of the labor market. But it is extremely difficult for employers to find candidates for labor specialties, doctors, construction and transport specialists.

Who are they looking for the most:

Salesman, cook, accountant, driver, porter, barista, seamstress, waiter, utility worker, storekeeper, cleaner, pharmacist, customer service manager, security guard, sales representative, baker, administrator, cashier, nurse (medical brother), educator , teacher, locksmith-repairman, electrician, electric gas welder.

What salaries are offered to specialists:

Representatives of labor specialties in industry are offered a salary level depending on the availability of experience and special skills. For example, a qualified machine operatorwoodworking machines can count on an income of UAH 85,000 (DSZ data). Locksmiths are offered an average salary of UAH 22.5 thousand (vacancies on Work.ua).

The average salary in the sought-after category “Construction, architecture” is UAH 25,000 across Ukraine. The salary of a construction handyman can range from UAH 1,100 per shift to UAH 40,000 per month. Designers of heating and ventilation systems in vacancies are offered an income of UAH 35,000, and a construction project manager can earn UAH 70,000.

In vacancies in the healthcare field, medical sister has an average salary of UAH 17.5 thousand, a family doctor – 25 thousand UAH. Specialists of a narrow profile, such as gastroenterologists, have a median salary of UAH 35,000.

The highest salary offered in the field of transport – UAH 50,000 from drivers of international transport. Taxi drivers are ready to pay UAH 30-40 thousand, freight forwarders – 30-35 thousand UAH.
