President Pedro Castillo arrived around at 1:40 in the afternoon to the headquarters of the Public Ministry, where he was to be interrogated as part of the investigation against him for the alleged plagiarism of his thesisto obtain the academic degree of master at the César Vallejo University (UCV). In June, the prosecutor's office specified that the alleged crimes are plagiarism aggravated and improper collection to the detriment of the State. The investigations also include the first lady, Lilia Paredes.

It would be the second time in a week that Castillo attends a summons from the Public Ministry for the investigations against him. On Monday he refused to answer questions about the PetroPerú and Mariano González cases.
