The Ministers of Culture, Alejandro Salas, and of Justice and Human Rights, Félix Chero, assured that the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, is “calm” after the delivery of former Secretary of the Presidential Office Bruno Pacheco to the prosecution.
First of all, the The head of Culture reiterated that Castillo Terrones is the “first interested” in these facts being investigated and that it is “healthy” for the former official to be in the hands of justice so that the country knows the truth, although he emphasized that he must present proof of his statements.
“He has been with us in the Council of Ministers, he is absolutely calm and as he has been stating, he was the first person interested in these facts being investigated. Of course, the fact that Bruno Pacheco is in the hands of justice is healthy because the country needs the truth and that is what absolutely we all want to know”, he expressed.
“We have to be responsible because, for example, Mrs. Karelim (López) presented herself to be an aspiring effective collaborator and her sole presentation made the President of the Republic have to go to Congress to go through a vacancy motion. From April we are going to be August and not a single piece of evidence has been presented, only said”, he added.
Meanwhile, the Minister Félix Chero insisted that the Public Ministry must investigate and collect the evidence to support the investigation, within the space of legitimacy granted by the Constitution.
“The president is calm, working on the agenda that as first representative of the Nation corresponds to him. We have also pointed out that each space of legitimacy of those who carry out an investigation is established in the constitutional framework”, he noted.

Finally, the head of the Minjusdh agreed with Salas in the sense that the voluntary surrender of Bruno Pacheco to the authorities “it is healthy for the country” because it will allow it to explain the case to the prosecution.
“Mr. Pacheco has given himself up voluntarily and he will have to answer and what we have always pointed out, it is healthy for someone who is in an investigation process to give explanations before the legitimate body and I think it is healthy for him country”, he sentenced.
