The President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, denied being the leader or member of an alleged criminal organization, as maintained by the Public Ministry in the investigations carried out to your environment.

In an interview with the Popular Ágora Cultural Association of Plaza San Martín, the president indicated that the only organization he has is that of the people and he has demonstrated this with the various meetings he has held with social leaders in the Government Palace.

“Not only do I reject them, but I have been showing that we are natives, born from work, from spaces where we have never had a living voice. The people know us, the grassroots know us, we have been supporting popular social movements”, he stated.

“ The organization that we have is the organization of the people and that is demonstrated when we open the doors of the Palace and they enter that space, where they did not enter before. It shows how the people know who we are”, he added.

In this sense, Castillo Terrones stated that if the accusations of criminal organization against him were true, the Peruvian people “would have taken a different position a long time ago”.

“If we were what they say, what is mentioned so much in the media, if the people did not know us, they would have taken a different position a long time ago”, he sentenced.

On the other hand, Castillo Terrones said that he hopes to finish his government in 2026 and remarked that he is not only “committed to ” in achieving it, but rather that his successor guides the policies approved in his administration.

“We are determined that we do not Only this mandate is fulfilled, but also that the government that is elected in 2026 directs these policies, which should no longer be government policies, but should also be er state policies ”, he expressed.
