Alina Ponomarenko, the representative of Ukraine at the “Miss Universe – 2024” contest, showed her national costume “Strength of the Earth”, which she will demonstrate on November 14 at the national costume show in Mexico.

Alina Ponomarenko will appear in an image that embodies unbreakable and flourishing Ukrainian land, protected by “steel armor”. This is stated in her social networks.

The national costume “Strength of the Earth” symbolizes the rich, fertile, holy Ukrainian land, covered with strong armor that protects Ukraine. This armor was created from the indomitability and courage of Ukrainian defenders, the resilience of relatives who are waiting for their sons, daughters, husbands, parents from the war, says the description of the suit.

According to the authors' idea, the suit consists of several layers . The first layer is armor and armor created from metallized silver faux leather. The skirt is made of silk organza.

The second layer is a jumpsuit. It is made of printed biflex with a floral designer print, embroidered with mini flower petals, beads, floral sequins and rhinestones.

Alina has a poppy flower on her chest. By design, it symbolizes the high price paid to Ukrainians for the protection of the country. Hair is decorated with steel flowers.

Somewhere in the layers of the tortured Ukrainian land, the “steel flowers” planted by the war are “ripening” – mines. The war in Ukraine will leave behind many such “flowers”. Already today, official statistics claim that Ukraine occupies one of the highest places in the world in terms of the number of casualties among the civilian population from land mines and unexploded ammunition, the authors explain their idea.

Work on the suit continued in Ukraine more than two weeks. Its total weight is about 5 kg.
