Parliamentary return | QS ‘turn to say no to a fully virtual parliament

(Quebec) Another opposition party is pressuring the Legault government so that the National Assembly does not sit only in virtual mode: after the Liberal Party and the Parti Québécois, Québec solidaire (QS) demands that part of the work take place in the presence of elected representatives on the spot in parliament.

According to QS parliamentary leader Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois, Quebeckers expect the oppositions to play their role and a 100% virtual scenario would not allow them to do so.

Work is due to resume next Tuesday and the government wants the work to take place in virtual mode, according to the recommendation issued by the public health authorities.

At a press conference on Tuesday, Mr. Nadeau-Dubois, however, argued that the health situation has changed a lot since the assessment of Public Health.
