Paris Olympics: Fake flights for a real Japanese problem

To ease the frustration of the Japanese, a fake airline acting completely legally is allowing those who were unable to travel to the Paris Olympics to find comfort in a flight simulation.

Guaranteeing “a feeling close to a flight and a stay abroad”, this fake airline helps to cure the ills of some of its residents. Saddened by the idea of not being able to go to Paris for its Olympic Games, residents can find a little joy in this two-hour experience for forty euros. Taking the model of long-haul flights, the fake cabin would allow everyone to project themselves.

Among the reasons given for the cost of real travel, exchange rates would be real obstacles to the process. So, fans of the concept compensate by settling into a replica of a first class cabin. With a surface area of 30 m², this replica of a plane from First Airlines, also a duplicate of an airline, helps to create the illusion. According to the head of this “company”, Hiroaki Abe, “the Japanese are happy to take the plane, but in reality, it is not so common to board to go abroad”.

The one we could designate as the actress playing the role of the flight attendant testifies to Franceinfo admitting that the customers are more particularly people aged between 50 and 60. The Parisian destination remains the favorite, which is at the end of the “journey” by plane visited thanks to a virtual reality headset.

In addition to justifying its creation by its low cost, perhaps the ecological argument in favor of limiting actual flights could soon be included in the project's sales pitch ? Perhaps it is also a way to visit the French capital without actually being there, and thus avoid the famous “Paris syndrome” that is so bad for the Japanese.
