More than 18,000 civilians have suffered in Ukraine since the beginning of Russian aggression. This reports UN
According to the organization, since February 24, 2022, 18,483 civilian casualties have been officially recorded in the country: 7,068 killed and 11,415 wounded.
The UN has calculated that among the dead – 2800 men, 1895 women, 180 girls and 223 boys, as well as 35 children and 1935 adults, whose sex is still unknown.
But among the 11,415 wounded – 2504 men, 1779 women, 241 girls and 330 boys, as well as 267 children and 6294 adults, whose sex has not yet been determined.
The UN recorded that 4121 were killed and 5782 were injured in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. in the territory controlled by the government of Ukraine – 3622 dead and 4101 injured, and on the territory controlled by the Russian invaders – 499 dead and 1,681 injured.
“Most reported civilian casualties were caused by the use of long-range explosive weapons, including heavy artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, rockets and airstrikes,” – marked in the message.
