Our own production: making sun-dried tomatoes with Hector Jimenez-Bravo

Sun-dried tomatoes/Open source

Sun-dried tomatoes are a versatile product that can be added to many dishes: bruschetta, salad or omelet. So we tell you how to cook them at home.

Ukrainian chef Hector Jimenez-Bravo decided to cook sun-dried tomatoes at home. Look for cooking details on his Instagram page.

This is something that should definitely be in the refrigerator of every housewife.

You can prepare many dishes with them: bruschetta, salads, add to pasta, pizza or side dishes. Suitable for both fish and meat, or even vegetable dishes, – writes Hector.

Ingredients:

• Cherry tomatoes;
• Dry garlic;
• Thyme or other aromatic herbs;
• Oil;
• Fresh garlic;
• Salt.

For filling:

• Oil;
• Cilantro or other herbs;
• Fresh garlic;
• Salt and dry garlic.

Method of preparation:

1. Cut the tomatoes in half and place them on a baking sheet lined with foil, close to each other.

2. Peel the garlic, cut it into slices and add it to the tomato. Sprinkle with aromatic herbs, dry garlic, salt and drizzle with oil.

3. Dry for 9 hours at a temperature of 100° on top/bottom mode without convection. Periodically opening the oven door to allow condensation to escape. P.S.: if the oven is powerful – 80°, and the time depends on the size of the tomatoes.

4. Put chopped greens, garlic and salt in a jar. Add ready-made tomatoes, add spices and pour oil.

5. We send it to the refrigerator for several hours.
