The doctor believes, often people do not pay attention to the fact that eating late can be associated with bad breath in the morning. Eating dinner shortly before bedtime leads to severe stomach tension at night. When the body is horizontal in bed, stomach acid can enter the esophagus during metabolic processes, which provokes the onset of bad breath, the doctor said.
For this reason, the expert named an easy way to get rid of the problem once and for all. According to Erich Voigt, you should try not to consume anything 3 hours before bedtime. Thanks to this, the stomach will be able to digest food even before the desire to go to bed arises. The expert said that most often this problem occurs in people who have chronic diseases of the sinuses. In their sleep, they breathe through their mouth, not through their nose. For this reason, if you have bad breathing in the morning on an ongoing basis, you should consult an otolaryngologist for advice.
