Company OnePlus announces new battery technology for mobile devices

OnePlus has introduced a new battery technology for mobile devices called Glacier Battery. This development was created in collaboration with the largest battery manufacturer in the world, CATL. The new batteries promise to significantly increase the battery life of the devices.

In posts on the Weibo social network, OnePlus hints that thanks to the Glacier Battery, smartphone users will not have to charge their devices frequently, worry about low battery or use external batteries. Increased capacity compared to current mobile device batteries is also promised.

Obviously, this technology allows for more compact and energy-efficient batteries. While smartphone functionality and performance continue to grow, batteries often stay the same or even deteriorate. Glacier Battery could be the solution to this problem.

Digital Chat Station insider claims that the first smartphone equipped with this technology, will be OnePlus Ace 3 Pro. Its battery capacity will be 6100 mAh, and thanks to the support for charging with a power of 100 W, the device will be able to be fully charged in less than half an hour. At the same time, the thickness of the device will not exceed 9 mm.

On June 20, OnePlus plans to hold a press conference where, perhaps further details of the new Glacier Battery technology will be revealed.
