You probably know the American-Japanese actor Mackenyu Arata, or more simply Mackenyu, for having played Zoro in the Netflix adaptation of One Piece. But the 27-year-old actor is no stranger to manga adaptations on screen, and has also appeared in the Chihayafuru trilogy, the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Diamond Is Unbreakable Chapter 1, the Tokyo Ghoul S films, and the role of Seiya in Knights of the Zodiac in 2023. He also starred in the third installment of the film adaptation of the manga Rogue Kenshin, titled Kenshin: The Achievement (2014).
Mackenyu should therefore find his marks in season 2 of One Piece, since the team responsible for the action scenes of the Kenshin trilogy (stunts, choreography, staging, etc.) is reportedly working on the Netflix series!This is at least what several American media outlets are claiming, although the information has not (yet?) been made official.
