
Olympic champion Duhamel called for a boycott of the 2024 Olympics if Russia is admitted

Olympic champion and two-time world champion in skating Canadian Megan Duhamel spoke about the potential admission of athletes from Russia and Belarus to participation in the Summer Games 2024 in Paris .
The figure skater supported the intention of Ukraine to refuse to participate in the Olympic Games if the Russians and Belarusians get the opportunity to compete.
"I think that more countries and sports federations should follow suit", — Duhamel wrote on social networks, reports Sport.ua.
BAGNETreminds that at the end of February 2022 the International Olympic Committee (IOC) made an appeal to sports federations and recommended that they not allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in any competitions.
On January 25, 2023, the IOC announced that it was considering the possibility of allowing Russian athletes who did not express support for international competitions in the neutral status conducting a "special operation on territory" Ukraine.
