A man from Alexandria was put behind bars for 8 years for stealing a phone

On November 6, the Alexandria City District Court  sentenced a resident of Alexandria, in the Kirovohrad region, to be punished for robbery.

As the court determined , convicted, while walking along the alley on Pokrovska Square in Oleksandria, snatched a mobile phone from a minor child. In this way, he caused 4,840 hryvnias in property damage.

The accused admitted his guilt.

The court took into account the man's outstanding criminal record for purchasing or manufacturing drugs and classified it as a repeat crime under martial law.

According to the totality of criminal offenses, he was sentenced to 8 years and 4 months of imprisonment.
