Okean Elza band presented a clip for the new song “Yak nicha”

In the new clip for the song “Like Never”, Okean Elsa combined romance and melancholy. The clip, which uses footage from concerts in honor of the band's 30th anniversary, conveys the feelings of separation and love that are familiar to millions of Ukrainians today.

The clip uses footage that will appear in the upcoming documentary film about the band. Its premiere is scheduled for 2025.

According to Sviatoslav Vakarchuk, the song “Never” reflects the emotions of many Ukrainians who are now forced to be far from their loved ones. The text reminds us of hope for the best and warm memories – moments of family holidays, children's joys, plans for the future that were part of a peaceful life.

More than ever, it is about feelings that are close to many people today. Ukrainians. The song depicts a moment when two people who love each other are forced to be far apart due to circumstances. Millions of Ukrainians feel this today, – says the band's frontman Svyatoslav Vakarchuk.

Vakarchuk admitted that the song was born in winter, when he went out on a snowy day, and the special mood of that day brought him back to his memories.

Children were waiting for gifts, adults were discussing future plans, and were happy to meet, which seemed rare at the time because of work and everyday affairs. He wrote the music several years ago, but just now found the right words for it, the musician shared.

In the clip, Svyatoslav also showed how he communicates with his family via video link, showing his sadness for his loved ones. Video contains footage from the concerts at the Palace of Sports, which took place in October 2024 in honor of the band's anniversary. This footage will also be included in a documentary that will tell the story of “Elsa's Ocean”.

The upcoming film will show how the musicians prepared for the anniversary concert, and will also immerse viewers in the history of the band, its contribution to cultural processes and society. Studio KNIFE is working on the tape! Films, known for its projects “Flash”, “Episodes” and the film “Yaremchuk: Incomparable World of Beauty”.

The theatrical premiere will take place in 2025, and later the film will be available on the SWEET.TV platform. /p>
