Commercial oil reserves in the US last week fell by 4,389 thousand barrels – to 496.045 million barrels, according to a weekly report from the US Department of Energy.

Gasoline inventories fell by 381,000 barrels to 231.524 million barrels, Bloomberg reported.

Commercial stocks of distillates rose by 3,461 thousand barrels to 179.306 million barrels.

Experts interviewed by Bloomberg expected an increase in oil reserves by 2,074 thousand barrels, a decrease in gasoline reserves by 600 thousand barrels and a decrease in distillate stocks by 250 thousand barrels.
