Commercial oil reserves in the United States last week fell by 1980 thousand barrels – to 492.426 million barrels, according to a weekly report from the US Department of Energy.

Gasoline inventories increased by 683 thousand barrels to 228.182 million barrels, Bloomberg reported.

Commercial stocks of distillates decreased by 3,184 thousand barrels, reaching 172.758 million barrels.

Experts interviewed by Bloomberg expected an increase in oil reserves by 1,000 thousand barrels, a decrease in gasoline inventories by 1,400 thousand barrels and a decrease in distillate stocks by 1,200 thousand barrels.
