Offline: how to make your phone work better during power outages

Ukraine is increasingly suffering from power outages. In the event of a planned interruption of supply or a blackout, mobile communication is also disrupted. In order not to lose the opportunity to call or access the Internet, there are several tricks.

The connection itself may be unstable due to heavy load, but you can try to reconnect to your network or another operator's network. Here are some effective life hacks if your phone doesn't pick up the network well:

  • Turn on airplane mode for a few seconds and then turn it off. This can help your device reconnect to the network.
  • Restarting your phone can often resolve network issues by resetting your device and allowing it to find the network again
  • If 3G or 4G service is weak in your area, please switch to 2G or set the network mode to automatic (WCDMA/GSM)
  • Set the phone to automatically select the network operator. This can be done in the mobile network settings.
  • In areas with a weak signal, moving closer to a mobile network tower may help.
