Officials who inflated the price for the purchase of quadcopters were exposed in the Zaporizhzhia region

In Zaporizhia region, officials of one of the military-civilian administrations were exposed who created discriminatory conditions during the tender for the purchase of 15 reconnaissance quadcopters. As a result, the supplier was paid 695 thousand hryvnias more than the market value, which caused losses to the community budget.

This is reported by the press service of the regional National Police.

It is known that one of the officials deliberately formed the tender conditions in such a way that only one supplier could fulfill them. Another official, knowing the real market prices for quadcopters, signed an order to overstate the cost, a purchase agreement and acceptance certificates of the goods.

The Zaporizhia regional police, together with the strategic investigations department of the State Security Service of the National Police, conducted investigative actions, establishing the fact of abuse. On January 6 and 7, two officials were declared suspects: one of the defendants is suspected of official negligence, the decision on a preventive measure is still under consideration, and the other was suspected of abuse of power or official position and is under 24-hour house arrest.
