On Friday, August 5, the Russian army fired at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant twice a day. Three shells hit near one of the power units where the nuclear reactor is located. This reports in the Telegram channel of the NNEGC “Energoatom”.
The department said that the second shelling of the station was recorded in the evening.
This time, the Russians from the MLRS fired at the station site , and also seriously damaged the nitrogen-oxygen station and the joint auxiliary building.
Now there are risks of hydrogen leakage and radioactive spraying, as well as a high level of fire danger. There are no casualties as a result of shelling.
