Observers: Turkey launched air strikes on Syria
Syrian military confirmed the deaths of its troops in the strikes
Opposition military observers and Kurdish media said that Turkey launched an air strike on northern Syria near its border, as a result killing at least 11 people, including Syrian government soldiers.
The attack took place west of the city of Kobani amid tensions in northern Syria between US-backed Kurdish fighters and Turkish-backed opposition militias.
< p>The Syrian military said the strike killed three soldiers and wounded six.
The UK-based monitoring organization Syrian Observatory said the Turkish air strike killed 11 people, noting that it is not yet clear if they are whether they are all Syrian military personnel.
Observers reported that eight people were injured.
