An elite Ukrainian military unit operating behind Russian lines was involved in the explosions at an ammunition depot near Dzhankoy in Crimea.
This is reported by the New York Times, citing A statement by a senior Ukrainian official, speaking on condition of anonymity.
“The apparent attacks this month, which used covert forces behind enemy lines, highlight the ingenuity of the Ukrainian forces. Since the beginning of the war, they have used unconventional tactics in the hope of equalizing rules of the game, trying to repel the attacks of a much larger and better equipped Russian army,” the NYT writes.
