The expert pointed out that a number of ailments are associated with obesity or pre-existing conditions. A number of factors can provoke the appearance of excess weight, including lifestyle, the presence of bad habits and unhealthy diet. The nutritionist advises, when gaining pounds, first of all, to make changes in the usual diet. Not only external, but also internal changes are taking place. Obesity indicates a higher susceptibility to stroke and heart attack. With the abdominal type of condition in men, a large belly is formed. Fat also builds up around the internal organs, interfering with their correct functioning.
In combination with inactivity, a “sluggish” metabolism is formed, which threatens with fatty liver. Apletaeva added that people with elevated BMI are at greater risk for premature death than those who remain at a normal weight. Men should be worried if the waist exceeds 94 cm, moreover, this indicator is already quite serious.
