Les Nunavummiut will pay more for their fuel starting January 4

The increase of 15 cents per liter will affect several types of fuel.

The Government of Nunavut announced an increase in the prices of various fuels across the territory effective January 4.

The 15-cent increase per liter before the addition of taxes will affect diesel, gasoline, aviation fuel and naphtha.

After the increase, the price of diesel for heating could reach $1.50 per liter in some places, while a liter of diesel for vehicles could exceed $1.80. The price of a liter of aviation fuel will vary around $2.
