Nothing smartphone caused fatal accident

In India, in the state of Maharashtra, a tragic incident occurred related to the explosion of a CMF Phone 1 smartphone from the Nothing sub-brand. A man riding a motorcycle died after his phone exploded in his pocket. Another person, also riding a motorcycle, was seriously injured.

What else is known

The phone, purchased just a month ago, exploded in the victim's pocket, which led to loss of control of the motorcycle and, as a result, to a fatal accident. The cause of the explosion has not yet been determined, but it is believed to be related to the device's battery.

“This incident is concerning, especially considering that the CMF Phone 1 was released only a few months ago. At the moment, no official has commented on what happened”, – writes GizmoChina.

Although this is the first known case of a CMF Phone 1 explosion, smartphone explosions are not uncommon. Similar incidents have been reported in the past involving brands such as Samsung, OnePlus, and even Apple.
