As well as some other foreign cars

China helps Russia not only with finished cars, but also with components. Moreover, in some cases, these can be large nodes – e.g. complete motors. As reported, a fairly large number of internal combustion engines for popular foreign cars were brought to the Russian Federation from China, and these engines (already in the sellers' warehouses) turned out to be inexpensive.

The cost ranges from 90 thousand rubles (for 1, 6-liter G4FC engine for Kia Rio or Hyundai Solaris) up to about 120 thousand for a Volkswagen Polo engine. And we are talking about completely new units. Given that the installation of the motor costs about 12 thousand rubles, it will be easier and faster to replace the engine on a foreign car than to “capitalize” it.
