Norwegian developers have integrated the domestic anti-ship missile Naval Strike Missile (NSM) into the European EuroPULS missile system. This is reported by the German publication Hartpunkt, Militarny informs.
The PULS (Multi-Purpose Universal Launching System) missile complex, developed by the Israeli company Elbit Systems, is a multi-caliber system that uses modular containers for high-precision missiles of various calibers. The integration of NSM increases the potential of PULS, allowing the European variant of the system to act as an analogue of the US HIMARS and M270 systems.
NSM, known for its low visibility and long flight range, has a range of several hundred kilometers. Such properties allow it to be an effective alternative to the American ATACMS.
According to the media, EuroPULS can accommodate two adapted containers with a missile in each of them. The possibility of integrating the joint Norwegian-German long-range supersonic cruise missile 3SM, which will be able to cover sea space at distances of more than 200 kilometers, is also being considered.
