This statement was made by Norwegian Minister of Defense Bjorn Arild Gramm during yesterday's meeting at the Ramstein airbase.

"This weapon, oh requested by Ukraine, and it will come in handy in the fight against invading Russian troops. The missile is easy to operate, it can be used against both land and sea targets,” he said.

The website of the foreign agency notes that the Norwegian Armed Forces checked the condition of the missiles before they were sent , and the instructors have already trained the Ukrainian military on the use of Hellfire.

At the same time, it is indicated that the life of the Hellfire system is nearing the end, they were planned to be phased out of service.

It also became known about the transfer of equipment by Norway, including night vision goggles and binoculars.

What is known about the Hellfire

AGM-114 Hellfire – This is an American air-to-ground guided anti-tank missile launched from a closed position without direct visual contact with the target. It is directed at the target by a laser beam or other systems.

The missile is used against objects with strong shell protection , namely helicopters, aircraft, unmanned vehicles (Northrop Grumman MQ-8), ground vehicles (HMMWV).

The range of the AGM-114 Hellfire is the longest among similar weapons in the United States.
