DPRK tests updated missile system

North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un watched the test of a 240-mm multiple launch rocket system with a new guidance system. This is reported by Yonhap and AFP.

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reports that Kim attended a test of a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) on Tuesday.

“The technically improved maneuverability and concentrated fire capability of the MLRS proved its superiority in all respects, including a new guidance system, controllability and destructive power,” KCNA said in a statement.

The agency added that Kim “laid out important policies to be followed in producing new artillery pieces and equipping army units with them.”

The AFP notes that Pyongyang continues to modernize its arsenal as the North Korean dictator watches the test of a 240mm multiple launch rocket system fire.

In addition, they recall that this statement was made three months after North Korea noted that it would equip its military with a “new” 240mm multiple launch rocket system (MLRS), which is capable of striking Seoul.

BAGNET previously reported that Kim Jong-un also called for the production of more suicide drones for use by tactical infantry and special operations units, such as underwater suicide drones, as well as strategic reconnaissance and multi-purpose attack drones.
