North Korea on Wednesday, August 17, made a test launch of two cruise missiles towards the Yellow Sea. This was reported by the South Korean agency Yonhap .
“The military detected two cruise missiles launched by North Korea from Oncheon, South Pyongan Province, into the Yellow Sea early this morning,” said a South Korean military spokesman.
South Korean and U.S. intelligence agencies are conducting their own analysis, while the allies remain on high alert, the official added.
Although the DPRK is banned from launching ballistic missile technology under UN Security Council resolutions, today's launch cruise missiles is not a violation.
