German Justice Minister Marco Buschmann has called for people not to visit Russia after a major prisoner exchange between the West and Russia.
This is reported by the European Parliament.
He noted that no one has felt safe in Russia for a long time.
“And I strongly advise against traveling to a country where no one is safe unless absolutely necessary,” Buschmann said.
He also added that he cannot refute concerns that the leader of the Russians, Putin, could capture even more foreigners in order to “create even more political prisoners.”
The minister said that the Russian FSB often uses poison “to directly or indirectly harm the life or health of people” in a malicious way.
“That was my biggest concern – that Russia poisoned them (the prisoners – Ed.) before the flight. But, according to what we know at the moment, thank God that is not the case,” the German Justice Minister added.
