Company BMW Group has announced the installation of the UK's first “stationary” wind energy system from start-up Aeromine Technologies at its Mini plant in Oxford. Renewable energy magazine writes about it.

It is reported that an innovative development by Aeromine Technologies installs on the edge of a building and uses the wind to produce clean energy with no visible moving parts. The system is equipped with vertical wing-shaped airfoils that create a vacuum effect by drawing air behind an internal propeller to generate clean electricity.
<a href=200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000

Unlike traditional wind turbines, Aeromine has no blades, thus ensuring no noise or vibration, and minimal impact on wild birds. The generator is made of high-strength, recyclable materials and is designed to operate for 20 years.

“This pilot project is a small but exciting project for the BMW Group that complements our existing approach to purchasing renewable electricity from national network”, — said Urs Sambale, head of the sustainable development management project at BMW Group Real Estate Europe.

As noted in the publication, this project is part of the BMW Startup Garage — a business unit dedicated to supporting startups working on advanced technologies. The unit tests prototypes of startups, and also puts them into operation at an early stage.
