“Feed the flame”. It is with this slogan that the Canada Media Fund (CMF) designed its new visual identity and shaped the image of its web anchor.
Designed through a partnership with the 123w agency, the streamlined flame-shaped logo and the site help perpetuate the mission of the Canadian institution, which is to encourage, promote and finance the production of content created in the country.
This identity reinforces the importance of inclusion by promoting cultural and linguistic diversity. “The flame symbolizes that pride we feel when we amplify voices that are usually silenced. Our desire is that all creators in our country can identify with the organization that supports their work, ”said Valerie Creighton, President and CEO of the CMF, in a statement.
In the interests of fairness to Indigenous peoples, the CMF logo and signature, available in English and French, have already been translated into 12 dialects.
