New Israeli strikes on Hamas and again the death of civilians

While the IDF's military operation to destroy Hamas militants, weapons and military installations (an organization designated terrorist in the United States – editor's note) is far from over, and a significant number of hostages still remain in hands of this terrorist group, global condemnation of the actions of the Israeli military, and in particular those that led to the death of civilians in the Gaza Strip, is growing like a snowball.

Two days after the Israeli airstrike that caused fire and death of refugees from northern Gaza in a tent city in Rafah, Gaza emergency services (controlled by Hamas – editor's note) reported that on Tuesday, May 28, four tank shells hit another group of tents in the Al-Mawasi area, coastal strip, which Israel in early May designated as an expanded humanitarian zone and advised an estimated one million civilians, consisting of refugees and residents of Rafah, to go there for safety.

Reuters, citing medical workers from This local “emergency service” says the strike killed 21 people, at least 12 of whom were women.

Israel denies any involvement in the attack:

"Contrary to reports of the last few hours, the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) did not strike the humanitarian zone in Al-Mawasi.".

On Tuesday, 28 May, tanks and armored vehicles were also seen in the center of Rafah near the Al-Auda Mosque, the agency says.

The Israeli military said that its forces continue to operate in the Rafah area, without commenting on reports of heavy equipment moving into the center city.
