The absolute world champion in super heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk will take part in the filming of the American film Smashing Machine. The Ukrainian will play the role of his fellow fighter.
The boxer will debut as an actor and star in the American biopic Smashing Machine. This became known from data on the film's page on the Internet Movie Database website.
The plot of the upcoming film will be built around former fighter Mark Kerr. The role of the main character will be played by the well-known film actor and WWE wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Usyk will play the Ukrainian fighter Ihor Vovchanchyn, who defeated Kerr twice – first by knockout , and then by unanimous decision of the judges. However, the result of the first fight between them was later annulled.

In addition to Usyk and Johnson, the film will also star Emily Blunt, Lindsay Gavin, Ryan Bader and Zoya Kosovich. The premiere is scheduled for 2025.
