In the list of the best soccer players in history, Zinedine Zidane has a guaranteed place. The Frenchman was successful as a footballer and continues to shine during his time as a coach. Without a team at the moment, the Frenchman did not rule out sitting on the PSG bench and confessed his desire to lead 'Les Bleus'.
“Never say Never. Especially when you are a coach today. When I was a player, I had the option, almost every club. As a manager, there are not fifty clubs that I can go to. There are two or three possibilities. If I go back to a club, it's to win. I say this in all modesty”, Zidane said in an interview with L'Équipe, when asked about a possible arrival at PSG.
Likewise , 'Zizou' openly declared his desire to command the French national team, with which he was world champion in 1998 and which today is managed by Didier Deschamps.
“I want, of course. I will be, I hope, one day. When? It's not up to me. But I want to close the circle with the French team. I knew this France team as a player. And that's the best thing that's ever happened to me!”, said the former soccer player.
The coach recalled what he experienced with the national team and that that “remained in the head” and awaits its moment: “Now there is a team at the forefront, with objectives. But if the opportunity arises, I'll be there”.
On the other hand, Zidane thought that Karim Benzema deserves the Ballon d'Or . “It's not just me saying give it to him, it's the whole world! It's more than worth it. Karim is like the little brother I didn't have because I'm the last of my family”, he expressed.
