Netflix has raised subscription prices in four countries — the United States, Canada, Portugal and Argentina. The company announced that the new rates will take effect after the next payment.
Netflix explains this by the fact that the company wants to create more interesting films and series and improve the quality of services.

In addition, the company introduced a new Extra Member with Ads rate. It allows’to connect an additional user to the rate with advertising for $7.99 per month. Despite the increase in cost, the company achieved record figures — Netflix added 19 million new subscribers in the last quarter of 2024, the largest increase in the service's history.
Netflix's total number of subscribers now stands at 300 million. However, the company will no longer publish quarterly subscriber growth figures. Starting in early 2025, Netflix will only report on significant milestones when its subscriber base reaches new levels.
