NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg warned that Ukraine and its supporters will face a harsh winter in the coming months.
But he urged the public in Western countries to keep the faith in their efforts, stating that the war has reached a critical point where Russia is losing some territory.
“We need to at least prepare for this winter, because there is no sign that Russia will abandon its goal take Ukraine under control,” Stoltenberg told the Associated Press on the sidelines of a meeting of supporters of Ukraine led by the United States in Ramstein, Germany.
“The war in Ukraine is approaching a turning point when we see that the Russian offensive in the Donbas stalled. We see that the Ukrainians were able to fight back, strike back and win back part of the territory,” he said.
