NATO recognizes Russia as a direct security threat

< p>NATO General Jens Stoltenberg said that the organization is going to designate Russia as a direct threat to the security of the Alliance in             ; 2022 will designate Russia as the most significant and direct threat to NATO security”, — he said.

Stoltenberg added that the concept will feature China, for the first time in the history of the Alliance. The document will also touch upon NATO's defense budget, climate issues, and fighting terrorism.

The document is scheduled to be adopted at the Alliance's summit in Madrid, which will be held from 28 to 30 June.
