NASA has denounced the Russian space agency, its main partner on the International Space Station, after cosmonauts celebrated the Russian takeover of a region in eastern Ukraine.

The Space Agency “strongly condemns the use of the International Space Station for political purposes to support the war against Ukraine, which fundamentally contradicts the station's main function among the 15 international participating countries – to promote science and develop technology for peaceful purposes.”< /p>
On Monday, the Russian space agency released photos of three of its cosmonauts posing with “LPR” flags. and "dnr" and stated that the capture of the region was “a day of liberation that should be celebrated both on Earth and in space.”
