NASA captures a disturbing image of the sun appearing to

A NASA observatory has captured an image of the sun that appears to be smiling, actually showing & nbsp; those that are the coldest areas of its surface compared to & nbsp; the surrounding ones. The image, taken by the Solar Dynamics Observatory, was shared by the space agency on social media last week and sparked a wave of responses focused on what it looked like. The dark areas that make up the “face” are what are called coronal holes, which appear as irregular black spots when the sun is imaged with ultraviolet light or certain types of X-rays. Coronal holes can appear on the solar surface at any time.
