Vladimir Nuzhny explained that people who drink alcohol not on a regular basis and in moderation can safely exclude it at one point. Moreover, such a decision will only benefit them. For avid alcoholics, a sharp refusal will entail a bunch of health consequences. A person asking to get drunk with the words “If I don’t drink, I’ll die” is really not exaggerating, because alcohol that enters the body regularly and in large volumes is already becoming a part of metabolism. If these “supplies” are interrupted, withdrawal symptoms occur, which is expressed in heart rhythm disturbances, increased blood pressure, increased sweating and tremors of the extremities. As a result, heart attack, stroke, heart attack, and even death can occur.

That is why in the event of a “withdrawal” a person must urgently provide medical assistance. Another drink will eliminate the current symptoms, but not the root of the problem. Getting rid of alcoholism should be under the supervision of doctors, since the option of giving up alcohol by gradually reducing its amount is most often ineffective.

Earlier, Gennady Onishchenko spoke about the proposal to limit the sale of alcohol during the New Year holidays.
