One of the dangerous types of cancer can be identified by paying attention to the condition of the fingers. This was pointed out by scientists from the National Health Service in the UK, writes Express.

As it turned out, the condition of the fingers may indicate the development of lung cancer, often leading to death. This type of oncology is most often found in the late stages, which interferes with treatment. In the early stages, there are practically no symptoms, only when the disease becomes threatening, coughing, chest pain and wheezing occur. Thickening of the fingers on the terminal phalanges is capable of giving out cancer. This is due to the fact that tumors developing in the lungs generate hormone-like chemicals. Under the influence of the latter, more blood and fluid rushes to the tissues at the fingertips, which makes them thicker than usual.
It also happens that the skin closer to the nails looks atypically shiny. If you look at the nails from the side, there is a bulge that was not there before. In the presence of these manifestations, it is better to seek advice from an oncologist.
