The Boyacá cyclist could not give many details about what will be his new team for 2023, however, he confirmed that he will be in the big ones

Nairo Quintana spoke at a press conference in the middle of the opening party of his Gran Fondo in Antioquia and made it clear that by 2023 he would be on the WorldTour: “I can not say too much. We will be in the WorldTour, we will continue pedaling hard, we are moving forward. The idea is to stay motivated to win races and represent my country. It is what I have in mind and we are going strong to do it. Next year we'll be big,” she commented.
Quintana said that if it were up to him, he would say right away which team it is, but that it is the squad's policy not to reveal his name publicly yet. The important thing is that for many it is good news that the award-winning athlete from Boyacá continues in cycling at the highest level.
For the Colombian cyclist these have not been very affable months in his sports career, because with the sanction imposed by the UCI and ratified by the Court of Arbitration for Sport for the use of Tramadol, to which Quintana appealed, he lost what he had done during the 2022 Tour de France and since then he has not raced again.
Just when he was on the payroll for the Tour of Spain with Arkea Samsic, the Boyacá native decided to put aside his intention to go to defend himself, later he was left without a team, because despite the announcement in August to continue for three more years in the French squad, the relationship broke down.

This also ended his sports season in Europe, although he ran with the Colombian National Team the Cycling World Cup as Sergio Higuita's gregarious partner. Nairo now with the TAS ruling, although unfavorable for him, it seems that he is calm and with his sights set on the future, where he will very surely be channeling his intentions to go to the grand tours of 2023 to stand out.

The competition is scheduled with activities from November 18 to 20 in the capital of Antioquia. It is expected that in the coming days both Nairo and his new team will give details of the contract and that it will be possible to know what they will aim for for the 2023 calendar, since the Tour de France recently revealed its route, revealing that climbers like Nairo will be the main protagonists, so you would think it will be there.
